Based in Washington, Brenden works with builders and real estate investors across multiple markets nationwide, helping them find financing that supports their projects and longer-term plans.
Brenden came to construction lending through the title and real estate business, where he worked closely with builders, developers, lenders, and investors. Moving into private construction finance brought those relationships together with the part of the business he enjoys most: solving problems and helping builders move forward.

Brenden works on ground-up single-family specs, townhomes, multifamily projects, fix-and-flips, bridge loans, and construction completion. Ground-up construction is a particular favorite, especially when a builder has plans for more than the first deal.
“Funding the first deal is great, but helping someone grow into five more is a lot more fun,” he says.
Some of his most rewarding projects have started with a financing structure that didn’t work: too much cash to close, an existing loan to address, unusual ownership, or construction already underway. Brenden likes to break down the project, identify the obstacle, and explore another way to structure the financing. Sometimes that means working through Sound Capital; sometimes it means connecting the builder with another capital partner.
His advice to builders is simple: involve your lender early. “You don’t need to have every detail figured out before calling me.” A conversation while a project is taking shape can help uncover challenges before contracts are signed and deadlines tighten.
Outside of work, Brenden enjoys time with his family, home projects, hunting, golf, and football. Have a project to discuss? His first question is straightforward: “What are you building?” Give him the story, and you can work through the numbers together.
