Based in Park City, Utah, and with a strong presence in the Arizona market, Brian helps residential builders find financing that fits their projects and building approach.
Brian began his lending career as a private hard money lender in Tempe, Arizona, in 2007. Lending through the recession that followed taught him lessons he still brings to conversations with builders today: look carefully at the project, understand the risks, and consider how the financing will work beyond the initial closing.

Brian works with builders on ground-up single-family homes, from individual infill projects to small subdivisions, as well as townhomes, fix-and-flips, and finished-lot bridge financing.
“If it has to do with residential projects, I’d love to hear more about it,” he says.
His approach starts with a simple reminder: “The cost of money isn’t the only thing that matters.” How a loan is structured matters, too—especially when a builder needs to secure an opportunity now while pacing construction over time.
One builder found a great deal on 10 finished lots but needed to purchase them all at once while building only two homes at a time. Brian helped arrange financing for the first two lots and construction, plus a bridge loan for the remaining eight. In that deal, the structure allowed the builder to move into future builds without bringing in additional cash.
Outside of work, Brian spends summers mountain biking and winters skiing. Have a project to discuss? His first question is straightforward: “What are you looking to build, and where is it?”
